a red-letter day
February 19th, 2007
We’re pleased to announce the formal release of NINES, a major aggregation of research materials in nineteenth-century studies. NINES uses Collex to power search and faceted browsing and to enable users to collect and annotate peer-reviewed digital objects.
We’re continuing to refine the Collex interface and feature set. A sophisticated exhibits-builder is now in the works — but NINES is already emerging as a major, transformative research tool thanks to Collex.
I would like to thank the ARP team — and most particularly lead programmer Erik Hatcher — for the energy and hard work that has gone into Collex over the course of many months. It was a little idea that will (we fully expect) make an exciting and positive impact on digital scholarship in the humanities.
